Wade says LeBron, Kobe are toughest players he's ever faced

USA Today Sports

Dwyane Wade has faced his fair share of stiff competition over his ongoing 14-year career, but none have proven tougher than the King and the Black Mamba.

Talking with reporters prior to the Chicago Bulls' Wednesday matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade acknowledged that former teammate LeBron James - who he won two championships with in South Beach - and Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant are the cream of the crop when it comes to players he's gone toe-to-toe with, and are the clear No. 1 and No. 2 on his list.

"I've had to guard Kobe more, so I've been in that battle a little more. We've never seen a player like LeBron," Wade said. "We've seen Magic (Johnson), who had similar styles, but what he does in the game, how he affects the game, I haven't seen it. I haven't went against it."

Wednesday marks the second time this season the Bulls and Cavaliers will collide. Wade scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 111-105 Chicago win back on Dec. 2.
