Paul Millsap wants to make sure his recent trade rumors aren't a distraction for the Atlanta Hawks going forward.

With his future in question, Millsap met with head coach Mike Budenholzer this week to ensure the two remain on the same page.

"I can’t tell you (what was said) but we sat down and talked," Millsap told Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "Our main focus is winning games right now. The focus is on basketball.

"We talked holistically, big picture, basketball, typical conversation that Bud and I may have. We spoke. It was (important) for us to sit down and talk to each other, especially with everything that is circulating out there. Get back to what you have to do to focus on basketball."

Although the 6-foot-8 forward appeared to leave the meeting satisfied, he admitted he still has "no clue" whether he'll be dealt.

While the Hawks are reportedly listening to offers on the 31-year-old, Millsap told reporters Tuesday that he wants to stay in Atlanta.

The Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets are reportedly two of the teams that have expressed interest in Millsap.
