Heat's Hassan Whiteside: Unable to fly with eye injury
Whiteside (eye) is unable to fly under his current condition, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis:
Whiteside didn't travel with the Heat to Phoenix for Tuesday's game against the Suns, and with that game marking the beginning of a six-game road trip, it seems plausible that the center could be held out for the entire trip while he continues to recover from a right retinal contusion. During Whiteside's undetermined absence, Willie Reed will likely serve as the Heat's starting center, while deep reserve Udonis Haslem will enter the rotation and take on some increased minutes at center.
