Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart and center Tyler Zeller were both admitted to New England Baptist Hospital Sunday night due to a stomach illness and sinus issue, respectively.

Head coach Brad Steven says both players picked up minor infections.

"Marcus, he has the bug that has been going around, the GI (gastro-intestinal) bug," Stevens told Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald. "And then Tyler’s had an ear infection and some sinusitis for a while. He was really feeling under the weather yesterday, more so than even in the past couple of weeks, and he’s been battling for a while now. Hopefully those guys get discharged soon and are able to join us ASAP."

Smart played 34 minutes in Friday's win over the Miami Heat, shooting only 1-for-7 from the floor. Zeller didn't appear in that game.

The Celtics have been fighting their share of injuries this season, with Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford, Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, and Kelly OIynyk all missing time at some point.
