Mavericks' Andrew Bogut: To start Thursday

Bogut will start at center Thursday against the Lakers.

Analysis:

Bogut played Tuesday against the Rockets after missing 11 games with a right knee issue, and apparently the single day off was enough for him to recover and remain in the lineup. The Mavericks previously indicated that in order to pick up some extra rest, Bogut would only play in one half of the back-to-back set that kicks off Thursday, so with confirmation that he'll play against the Lakers, it seems likely that he'll be held out of Friday's tilt with the Warriors. Look for Salah Mejri and Dwight Powell to handle most of the minutes at center Friday.
