DeRozan becomes Raptors' all-time leading scorer

DeMar DeRozan continues to rewrite the Toronto Raptors' history books.

With a floater in the second quarter of Wednesday's game at Golden State - his 14th and 15th points of the game - DeRozan became the franchise's all-time leading scorer, eclipsing Chris Bosh's mark of 10,275 points as a Raptor.

DeRozan finished with 29 points against the Warriors, bringing his career total to 10,290.

DeRozan joins LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki, and Mike Conley as the only active players who are franchise scoring leaders, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Wednesday marked DeRozan's 552nd game with the Raptors since being selected ninth overall by Toronto in the 2009 draft. Bosh played 509 games with the NBA's lone remaining Canadian franchise.

DeRozan is averaging 18.6 points per game for his career, with the 27-year-old enjoying a banner year in the wake of signing a lucrative five-year contract extension with the Raptors this past summer.

The two-time All-Star, who famously proclaimed "I am Toronto" in the news conference to announce his re-signing, is averaging 27.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals on a True Shooting Percentage of 55.6 this season - all career-highs.

DeRozan, who earlier this month surpassed Bosh for all-time field goals made as a Raptor and overtook Morris Peterson for games played, is also closing in on Bosh's team record for minutes played, leaving Wednesday's loss only 62 minutes behind the former Toronto big man.
