Hawks' Dwight Howard: Ruled out Monday vs. Thunder

Dwight Howard (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Thunder, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

While the severity of Howard's back injury remains unclear, he'll sit out at least Monday in order to rest the injury. He'll have another couple of days off prior to Wednesday's tilt with the Timberwolves, so tentatively consider him questionable for that game. While a starter has yet to be announced in Howard's place, Mike Muscala is the favorite, while guys like Kris Humphries and Mike Scott could absorb some extra minutes as well.
