Wizards' Ian Mahinmi: Will sit out Monday vs. Pacers

Mahinmi (knee) will remain sidelined for Monday's matchup with the Pacers, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Mahinmi reportedly didn't even travel with the team, so it appears there's a good chance he ends up missing both Wednesday's game against the Bulls and Friday's matchup with the Bucks as well. With Jason Smith (hamstring) also dealing with an injury, Marcin Gortat should continue to be relied upon heavily at center, while Andrew Nicholson could be given a few extra minutes off the bench. Mahinmi has yet to receive any sort of timetable for a return, so the Wizards will continue to evaluate him on a day-to-day basis.
