Clippers' Blake Griffin: Likely to miss three-to-six weeks

Griffin will require arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and is expected to miss three-to-six weeks, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports first broke the news that Griffin, who has been nursing a sore knee of late, would undergo the procedure, and now fantasy owners have a rough estimate of how long he'll be out. Coach Doc Rivers could go a number of different directions in trying to cover Griffin's minutes, but when the star big man was sidelined for much of last season with a quad injury, the Clippers typically relied on small-ball lineups featuring Luc Mbah a Moute at power forward. If the Clippers go that route this time around, more minutes would theoretically be available on the wing for the likes of Austin Rivers, Alan Anderson, Wesley Johnson and Paul Pierce, but bench big men Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass should nonetheless benefit from some added run as well.
