Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Cleared to play Monday vs. Mavericks

Nelson (jaw) has been cleared to play in Monday's game against the Mavericks, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Nelson exited Saturday's game against the Knicks after suffering a jaw contusion, but it's seemingly a non-issue, as he was able to practice fully Sunday without issue. The veteran will check into his usual backup role at point guard behind starter Emmanuel Mudiay, but it appears his pathway to seeing time off the ball is now blocked. Gary Harris returned from a foot injury earlier last week and has taken back a full-time starting role, while Will Barton and Jamal Murray have been filling in most of the minutes behind him.
