Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Trending towards being available Sunday

Cunningham (knee) plans to warm up with the intention of playing in Sunday's game against the Spurs, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Cunningham is still listed as questionable on the Pelicans' latest injury report, but after sitting out 12 games due to a fractured fibula, it looks as though the veteran forward will be cleared for a return. If Cunningham experiences no issues while warming up, coach Alvin Gentry will presumably make him available off the bench, though there's no guarantee that he'll be immediately included in the rotation. Even if he eventually does reenter the mix, the 29-year-old may have to split the minutes at small forward with Solomon Hill, limiting the fantasy upside of both players.
