Mavericks' Deron Williams: Turns in efficient shooting outing in loss
Williams contributed 18 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Friday's 103-100 loss to the Jazz.
Analysis:
Heading into Friday's game, Williams had been shooting just 36.6 percent from the floor in his first 11 games back from a calf injury, so this was certainly an encouraging outing from an efficiency standpoint. Williams has seen 30-plus minutes in nine of those outings, indicating that coach Rick Carlisle is fully comfortable with where the point guard is at on the health front.
