Grizzlies' Mike Conley: Hopeful to play Friday

Coach David Fizdale is hopeful that Conley (back) will play in Friday's game against the Kings, Ronald Tillery of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

In a fairly shocking turn of events, Conley is trending toward playing Friday after it was originally expected that his back fractures would sideline him through mid-January. Conley went through shootaround and will likely test out his back once more during pregame warmups before he and the team make a final decision, but the point guard's return is looking like a good possibility.
