Lakers' Nick Young: Lets it fly, hears iron in loss to Brooklyn

Young turned in 14 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, a steal and a block Wednesday in a 97-107 loss to the Nets.

Analysis:

Young has never been a sniper, but he's always been a gunner, and he took every semi-decent shot he could find against Brooklyn. Wednesday night's game aside, however, Swaggy P has been unusually effective by his standards this season. He's averaging career high percentages across the board, and is playing shockingly hard-nosed defense. This past week hasn't been kind to him, as he's made just six of his last 23 three-point attempts, but he only just returned from a six-game absence due to a calf injury. Expect him to heat up when he gets back into the swing of things.
