Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Lays house of bricks against Nets

Russell had 11 points (2-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), three rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 97-107 loss to the Nets on Wednesday.

Analysis:

The Lakers upped Russell's minutes restriction before Wednesday night's game at the Barclays Center, but the increased playing time did no favors for Russell. He continues to struggle in the month of December, shooting just 38.9% from the field. Russell has a lethal pull-up jumper off the pick-and-roll, but he went to it way too much against Brooklyn, and the defense easily adjusted. It doesn't look like he has the legs to go to the basket very effectively right now. It's worth monitoring whether his knee issues are a lingering problem or a blip in the radar.
