Trail Blazers' Evan Turner: Notches double-double in start

Turner started at small forward and recorded 15 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes during Thursday's 88-86 loss to the Grizzlies.

Analysis:

Turner, who was replacing the injured Maurice Harkless (ankle) in the lineup, wasn't able to match Harkless' steady three-point production, but turned in a comparable stat line in just about every other way. While he typically acts as more of a facilitator on the second unit, Turner ceded those duties to Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Mason Plumlee on Thursday and instead offered more complementary scoring. The Trail Blazers are listing Harkless as day-to-day for now, but Turner could make for an appealing speculative pickup in the short term while he notices an elevated role.
