Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Production changes little as a starter

Nelson started and scored 10 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT) while adding eight assists, four rebounds, and two steals in 36 minutes during Thursday's 92-85 loss to the Wizards.

Analysis:

Nelson started in place of Emmanuel Mudiay, who is dealing with an ankle injury. Nelson's minutes increased as a starter, but other than a few extra assists, his production barely changed. Furthermore, even before Mudiay's injury, Nelson was averaging 26.5 minutes per game this season, and 30.1 during the last seven games. Nelson's value increases slightly with Mudiay out, but even when Mudiay is active, Nelson has some value in deep leagues.
