Raptors' Lowry continues torrid stretch from beyond the arc

Ever since Thanksgiving, whenever Toronto Raptors All-Star Kyle Lowry has spotted up to attempt a 3-pointer, you could bet your bottom dollar the ball will probably fall through the mesh.

Perhaps you can chalk it up to one heck of a family dinner at the Lowry household, but whatever the reason, the 30-year-old point guard has been as close to a sure thing from beyond the arc as you can get over his past seven games - going 32 of 51 from deep.

During the hot streak, only Eric Gordon of the Houston Rockets (4.9) is dropping more 3-pointers in the Association than Lowry's 4.6, although he's taking 2.4 more shots. Percentage-wise, Lowry is in a league of his own at 62.7 percent, which is 12.7 percentage points higher than all other players taking at least two per game.

Lowry notched his fourth double-double of the season on Wednesday in a 124-110 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with 25 points and 11 dimes in 38 minutes. The major takeaway from his impressive line, though, was his continued efficiency from deep, as he connected on five-of-seven attempts.

At 42.9 percent from three this season, Lowry is blowing his career-best number from the 2015-16 campaign (38.8) out of the water, while sitting fourth overall in makes (67), eighth in attempts (156), and 13th in percentage.

Lowry has 14 games with at least three 3-pointers, and will look to make it 15 on Friday against the Isaiah Thomas-less Boston Celtics, a team he's shooting 38.5 percent against from long range in his career.
