Grizzlies' Marc Gasol: Starting Thursday

Gasol (groin) will start at center in Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Analysis:

Gasol had been listed as questionable prior to Thursday's game with a right groin injury, so it's possible the Grizzlies could look to limit his workload if the game gets out of hand early. Assuming the Grizzlies are able to keep the contest competitive, however, look for the team to lean heavily on the star center, who is averaging an outstanding 24.9 points (on 53.1% shooting), 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steal in 35.3 minutes per game over his last eight outings.
