Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie: Signs partially guaranteed contract with Nets

Dinwiddie signed a three-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Nets on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

The Nets opted to cut ties with fellow guard Yogi Ferrell earlier in the day, opening up a roster spot, which they'll use on the the 23-year-old Dinwiddie. He's spent the last two seasons with the Pistons, but took part in just 12 games during the 2015-16 campaign, as he fought through injuries and spent a good portion of his time assigned to the D-League. That said, with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) still sidelined, he'll jump in as a depth option in the backcourt, likely starting out as the third point guard behind Isaiah Whitehead and Randy Foye.
