Kings' Ben McLemore: Goes 3-of-11 from field in first start of season

McLemore started at shooting guard and offered nine points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 120-89 win over the Mavericks.

Analysis:

It was the first start of the season for McLemore, who had been exiled from the Kings' rotation in the preceding three games. While his poor shooting night didn't prove costly on a night the Kings destroyed an undermanned Mavs squad, McLemore probably didn't do enough to solidify his spot in the rotation going forward. We'll need to see McLemore consistently see 20-plus-minute workloads and produce well during that court time before investing in him in deeper leagues.
