Kings' Arron Afflalo: Moves to bench role Wednesday

Afflalo will come off the bench in Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento (KXTV) reports.

Analysis:

Afflalo had started the previous four games, but after averaging just 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per contest during that stretch, he'll hit the pine as coach Dave Joerger looks to squeeze more production out of the starting shooting guard spot. Ben McLemore, who has been left out of the rotation in the last three games, is set to enter the starting five in his stead, but McLemore may only be a placeholder in the lineup. Despite his struggles of late, Afflalo could still hold down a spot in the rotation.
