Knicks' Derrick Rose: MRI reveals no structural damage

Rose underwent an MRI on Wednesday, which revealed no structural damage, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Despite sitting out Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, marking his first absence of the season, Rose is fully expected to travel with the team for their upcoming five-game road trip, so he could be available as soon as Friday's game against the Kings. He's considered day-to-day at this point in time, but the Knicks should issue another update on his condition after Friday's morning shootaround. For now, Rose will just pick up some extra rest to aid his ailing back, with Brandon Jennings set to start at point guard for as long as Rose is sidelined.
