Lakers' Marcelo Huertas: Will start Wednesday

Huertas will get the start at shooting guard in Wednesday's matchup with the Rockets, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

The Lakers are opting to shake up their starting backcourt with D'Angelo Russell (knee), Jose Calderon (hamstring), and Nick Young (calf) still sidelined. After the supersized lineup in the previous game Monday against the Jazz didn't yield strong results, Brandon Ingram and Metta World Peace will move to the bench, but coach Luke Walton has opted to replace them with Jordan Clarkson and Huertas, respectively. It will mark Huertas' first start of the season, and he'll seemingly see an uptick from the 9.8 minutes per game he's averaged off the bench. Even so, Clarkson and Lou Williams will likely assume most of the play-making duties in the backcourt during the game, making Huertas an unappealing DFS option.
