Lakers' Nick Young: Plans to practice over weekend

Young (calf) said he plans to return to practice over the weekend, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Young was able to put up some shots at the end of Wednesday's morning shootaround and indicated that he's planning to participate in a full walkthrough Thursday, with the hope of getting cleared to practice Saturday. While that plan is far from set in stone, it's encouraging nonetheless, as it appears Young is trending toward a return closer to the short end of the team's initial two-to-four-week estimate.
