Isaiah Thomas: Won't play Wednesday

Isaiah Thomas (groin) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Magic, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

Thomas made the trip to Orlando with the team Tuesday, but he returned to Boston on Wednesday morning to rest and receive treatment. The hope is that the point guard, who did not practice Tuesday after tweaking his groin Monday night, will be able to return for Friday's matchup with Toronto, but at this point his status is firmly up in the air. In Thomas' absence Wednesday, expect Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier to see increased minutes.
