Here is a look at the Squad Up daily NBA fantasy picture for Wednesday, Dec. 7:

Dynamic Duos

  • SG Will Barton (55K) and C Jusuf Nurkic (45K), Nuggets (at Nets): No longer forced to share the frontcourt workload with C Nikola Jokic, who is sidelined for the Nuggets' road trip due to a wrist injury, Nurkic has free reign. PF Kenneth Faried has drawn into the starting five. Barton has topped 20 points in back-to-back games with 13 rebounds and seven assists.
  • PG Jeff Teague (72K) and SF Paul George (75K), Pacers (at Suns): The Suns play at a league-best pace of 104.0 possessions per game, while Indiana ranks ninth at 100.5. Phoenix's defensive efficiency of 106.6 ranks 23rd in the NBA. George has topped 30 minutes in both games since returning from injury, recording a double-double his last time out.
  • SG James Harden (109K) and PF Ryan Anderson (46K), Rockets (vs. Lakers): The Lakers play at a pace of 101.1 possessions per game and allow 108.4 points per 100 possessions. The Rockets have the league's third-ranked offense in terms of efficiency, scoring 110.3 points per 100 possessions. Anderson went 9-for-17 from 3-point range in two games before Monday's dud.

Bargain Plays

  • PF Marquese Chriss (27K), Suns (vs. Pacers): Chriss played 25 minutes in a 138-109 loss to the Golden State Warriors in his second-to-last game, scoring 11 points with four rebounds, one assist and one block. He was dialed back to 17 minutes Tuesday, but he still managed six points and four rebounds. He doesn't always score, but he often does enough to return value.
  • C Al Jefferson (25K), Pacers (at Suns): Jefferson topped 10 points in each of his past two games with at least 20 minutes of court time. He played just eight minutes in his most recent game but it was the second half of a back-to-back. He still managed four points and three rebounds. He should receive extra playing time in a potential lopsided victory.
  • PG Randy Foye (25K), Nets (vs. Nuggets): Foye has played at least 15 minutes in six consecutive games. He has at least four rebounds in four of the games, with a high of 10 points. He has made a 3-point shot in six straight games, while attempting at least five field goals in each one.

Top Fades

  • PG Goran Dragic (81K), Heat (at Hawks): Dragic matches up against the league's second-best defensive team with the Hawks allowing 100.5 points per 100 possessions. Dragic has topped 25 points in three of five games since returning from a brief injury. The strong performances in much easier matchups has caused his salary to soar.
  • SF Jae Crowder (65K), Celtics (at Magic): The Magic has the league's fourth-rated defense, and they also play at the league's 24th-ranked pace. Crowder hasn't hit 20 points since the season opener, and he hasn't topped five rebounds since last October.
  • C Andre Drummond (82K), Pistons (at Hornets): The Hornets have a top-10 defense, allowing 101.9 points per 100 possessions. Both the Hornets and Pistons play at paces of fewer than 100 possessions per game, limiting Drummond's rebounding opportunities.

Contrarian Options

  • C Al Horford (79K), Celtics (at Magic): Horford has scored at least 21 points in two of his past three games, but he hasn't reached 10 rebounds for four straight. The Magic allow their opponents to grab 44.9 rebounds per game and 0.4 more than they grab as a team.
  • PG Kyrie Irving (68K), Cavaliers (at Knicks): Most daily fantasy owners will be locked on to either Chris Paul or Stephen Curry as the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors go head-to-head in the marquee game of the night. Irving has a much better matchup, and he hasn't been held under 19 points in a game since Nov. 13.
  • PF Jabari Parker (71K), Bucks (vs. Trail Blazers): Parker has upped his fantasy contributions with eight rebounds in each of his past two games. The additional statistics help to offset his somewhat inconsistent scoring contributions when he goes without a 3-pointer. He took a season-high 10 free-throw attempts in his most recent game, making all 10.
