Heat's Justise Winslow: Won't play over team's road trip

Winslow (wrist) won't travel with the Heat during their three-game road trip that begins Wednesday against the Hawks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Winslow was already ruled out for Tuesday's home date against the Knicks after failing to practice Monday, and the Heat determined a day later that he wouldn't be ready to play within the next week. In addition to Winslow, Josh Richardson (ankle), Dion Waiters (groin), James Johnson (shoulder) and Luke Babbitt (hip) are also out for the trip, forcing the likes of Rodney McGruder and Wayne Ellington to pick up extended minutes as the team's starting wings. While Winslow is reportedly progressing from the injury, since he'll have missed at least 15 games in a row, the 20-year-old may need to log multiple practices before getting clearance to play.
