Pacers' Georges Niang: Assigned to D-League
Niang was assigned Tuesday to the D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports.
Analysis:
With Paul George, C.J. Miles and Kevin Seraphin available for the last two contests following multi-game absences due to injury, the Pacers no longer need Niang on hand as extra depth, so he'll join Fort Wayne in search of a more playing time. The rookie second-rounder has appeared in 13 games for the Pacers this season, but is averaging just 5.5 minutes per contest.
