Celtics' Demetrius Jackson: Recalled from D-League

Jackson was recalled Tuesday from the D-League's Maine Red Claws.

Analysis:

Jackson's promotion is an indication that starting point guard Isaiah Thomas, who pulled his groin in Monday's loss to the Rockets, may be at risk of missing time. However, even if Thomas misses Wednesday's game against the Magic and beyond, Jackson would still likely rank behind Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier and Avery Bradley in the pecking order at point guard. In other words, don't expect Jackson to crack coach Brad Stevens' rotation during his rookie season.
