DeRozan has crucial 3 waved off after review shows he stepped on sideline

Replay review has not been kind to the Toronto Raptors this season.

Just two weeks after having a game-tying, buzzer-beating 3-pointer waved off because a review showed the clock had started a half-second too late, the Raptors had yet another crucial late 3-ball erased by damning video evidence.

They were in the midst of waging a wild, last-minute comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, when DeMar DeRozan - who'd hit all of 10 threes on the season - connected on a contested, fall-away, catch-and-shoot triple from the corner, slicing the deficit to two points with 10 seconds to play.

The officials elected to review the play, to make sure that DeRozan - who has a penchant for turning threes into twos by sticking a toe on the line - had, indeed, been behind the arc. Turns out, he'd been too far behind it.

Upon review, the replay center noticed that DeRozan had stepped on the sideline before launching the shot, and the officials promptly wiped the three points off the board.

The Cavs held on for a 116-112 win.
