Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Says he's showing improvement

Jokic indicated Monday that his sprained left wrist is feeling "better," Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports. "Hopefully I'm going to be back as soon as I can catch the ball," Jokic said.

Analysis:

Jokic, who noted that he sustained the injury in last week's matchup with the Heat when he was knocked down by Hassan Whiteside, has been sidelined for the past two games. In an effort to aid his recovery, the Nuggets have already ruled him out for their next two contests, set for Monday against the 76ers and Wednesday against the Nets. It's not the most encouraging news that he's experiencing pain while doing non-contact activities like catching and dribbling the ball, so there's reason to think that Jokic may be at risk of missing the entirety of the Nuggets' six-game road trip, which concludes Dec. 12 against the Mavericks.
