76ers' Robert Covington: Out through at least Thursday

Covington, who is nursing a left knee sprain and an illness, has been ruled out for each of the 76ers' next three games, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Covington suffered the knee injury in Friday's loss to the Magic, which caused him to miss Saturday's matchup against the Celtics. With the sprain still affecting him and Covington now dealing with a flu-like symptoms, he'll sit out Monday's home matchup with the Nuggets and won't travel with the team for road games against the Grizzlies and Pelicans on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. As such, the earliest Covington will be able to return to the court would be Dec. 11 against the Pistons. While he's sidelined, Nik Stauskas could continue starting at small forward, while Gerald Henderson and Hollis Thompson could also take on increased minutes on the wing.
