Pistons' Beno Udrih: Drops out of rotation with Jackson's return

Udrih (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Sunday's 98-92 loss to the Magic.

Analysis:

With Reggie Jackson (knee) playing 23 minutes in his return to the lineup Sunday for his season debut, Ish Smith slotted in on the second unit as his primary backup, resulting in Udrih falling out of the rotation. The Pistons picked Udrih in training camp specifically to provide insurance at point guard while Jackson was sidelined, but it looks like the veteran won't have many opportunities when both players above him on the depth chart are healthy. Expect Udrih's season-long averages of 7.0 points, 3.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game to take significant hits from here on out.
