Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson will make his season debut Sunday against the Orlando Magic, coach Stan Van Gundy confirmed to reporters.

It's big news for Detroit, which has hovered around the .500 mark all season. Jackson has been sidelined since early in the preseason with left knee tendinitis. He underwent PRP treatments at that time, but has been practicing with the Pistons for the last week or so.

Ish Smith has been the starter in his absence with Beno Udrih backing him up, and while they've performed capably, the Pistons desperately need Jackson's scoring and shooting ability back in the lineup. Last season, the Pistons outscored opponents by 1.6 points per 100 possessions with Jackson on the floor.
