Lowry on hot streak: 'Every shot I take, period, is going in'

Kyle Lowry is looking like Kyle Korver these days.

After starting the season hitting less than 40 percent from the field and under 30 percent from deep, Lowry has suddenly regained his shooting touch from beyond the arc.

The two-time All-Star has gone 37-of-70 from deep over his last 10 games and was feeling rather confident following a 33-point drubbing of the Los Angeles Lakers.

"I think every shot I take, period, is going in," Lowry said rather matter-of-factly. "I don't think I waver in confidence in my game. I had a struggle last year in the playoffs but I never wavered in the work I've put in."

Lowry's emergence as a premier shooter has opened up the Raptors offense (which ranks second-best to the Golden State Warriors in offensive rating) and allowed him to comfortably settle in as a off-ball threat next to main option DeMar DeRozan.

He was also quick to praise teammates for getting him open shots over his hot spurt.

"DeMar is getting in there, driving then kicking it out, and I'm trailing the play a lot. Cory (Joseph) is setting me up. When other guys are scoring ... it takes attention off of me and I can get easy spot up threes like Norm (Powell) got me tonight."

Lowry was a slasher for most of his career, but reinvented himself as a volume 3-point shooter last season. His 212 made treys last season ranked fifth in the NBA and his career year helped the Raptors to a franchise-best 56 wins.

Through a quarter of the season, Lowry and the Raptors remain on pace to recreate last year's marks.
