Clippers' Chris Paul: Falls just shy of triple-double Friday

Paul registered 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 13 assists, eight rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes in Friday's 114-96 win over the Pelicans.

Analysis:

The Clippers shook off a three-game losing streak in emphatic fashion, claiming double-digit wins over the Cavaliers and Pelicans in back-to-back games thanks largely to the play of Paul, who has been fantastic throughout the season. Though he's not averaging career highs in any area save for three-pointers, Paul's impressive averages of 17.8 points, 9.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.1 treys in 31.3 minutes per game to go along with his 90.1 percent mark from the free-throw line have been enough to make him a top-five fantasy player in just about every format.
