Rockets' Trevor Ariza: Dealing with back spasms

Ariza exited Friday's win over the Nuggets early due to back spasms, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

The game was already in hand when Ariza left, so it's possible that the Rockets held him out more for precautionary reasons than anything else. He still managed to turn in an effective stat line during his time on the court, finishing with 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3PT) seven rebounds, and one steal across 31 minutes. The Rockets get a couple days off before they take on the Celtics on Monday, so another update on Ariza should be forthcoming.
