Knicks' Kyle O'Quinn: Turns in huge double-double in spot start

O'Quinn started at center and compiled 20 points (9-11 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 31 minutes in Friday's 118-114 win over the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

O'Quinn started for the fourth time in seven games with Joakim Noah (ankle) sitting out, but for the only time during that stretch, coach Jeff Hornacek opted to give him the bulk of the minutes at center, rather than having him split time with rookie Willy Hernangomez. The increased playing time helped O'Quinn establish season highs in scoring and rebounds, and he could receive the opportunity to routinely flirt with 30-minute workloads if Noah's injury ends up proving more problematic than expected.
