Kings' Matt Barnes: Pulls down season-high 16 boards Friday

Barnes finished with 12 points (3-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 16 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block across 31 minutes in Friday's 97-92 loss to the Celtics.

Analysis:

Barnes' 12 points led the Kings' bench and his 16 rebounds were a season high, but the forward let his emotions get the best of him at a crucial time, as his fourth-quarter technical foul helped the the Celtics pull away. Even so, it was still one of Barnes' best outings of the season, and coach Dave Joerger should continue to hand him plenty of playing time even while he's come off the bench in three straight contests.
