Wizards' Ian Mahinmi: Won't play Friday

Mahinmi (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Mahinmi has missed the last two games after some knee soreness resurfaced and will now be held out for a third straight contest as he still deals with discomfort. He should still be considered on a game-by-game basis, with Jason Smith and Andrew Nicholson continuing to take on majority of the backup center minutes behind Marcin Gortat in Mahinmi's absence.
