Pistons' Ish Smith: Nearly approaches triple-double in Wednesday's win

Smith registered 19 points (9-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and one block across 36 minutes in Wednesday's 121-114 win over the Celtics.

Analysis:

Smith has come on strong over the past four games with averages of 15.5 points and 5.3 assists per contest while shooting 58.7 percent from the floor, giving fantasy owners a nice sendoff before Reggie Jackson (knee) takes over as the starting point guard. It doesn't seem likely that Jackson will be available for the Pistons' final game of their road trip Friday against the Hawks, but he could make his season debut as soon as Sunday versus the Magic. Once Jackson is back, he'll presumably be in line for close to 30 minutes per contest, with Smith only picking up the leftover playing time at the position.
