Grizzlies' Vince Carter: Ruled out with hip strain
Carter (hip) won't play Wednesday against the Raptors, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
Analysis:
Carter was initially deemed questionable, but he's now been ruled out after sustaining a strained hip during Monday's matchup with the Hornets. In what's become a familiar refrain over the last two seasons, the Grizzlies will be severely shorthanded Wednesday and are expected to have only nine players available. Troy Williams is expected to start at small forward and should benefit the most from Carter's absence, as he'll be asked to handle major minutes.
