Lakers' Nick Young: Leaves game Tuesday with Achilles strain

Young suffered a right Achilles strain during the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the Pelicans and won't return, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Young is slated to undergo an MRI on the Achilles on Wednesday, and with the Lakers scheduled to finish off their back-to-back set that day against the Bulls, it looks quite likely the shooting guard won't be available for that contest. The MRI should provide a better indication if Young will be forced to miss any time beyond that, but any further absences would likely pave the way for Jordan Clarkson to enter the starting five, while the likes of Lou Williams and Brandon Ingram could see increased time off the bench.
