Heat's Wayne Ellington: Remains day-to-day

Ellington (wrist) is still considered day-to-day, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. "Everything is day to day," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "[Ellington] hasn't done a practice yet, so I mean that's too early to tell."

Analysis:

While it's encouraging that the Heat are no longer viewing Ellington as out indefinitely, his lack of participation in a full practice makes it likely that he'll remain sidelined for Monday's game against the Celtics. Once he's cleared to play again, Ellington figures to be buried on the depth chart at shooting guard, and isn't guaranteed a regular spot in coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation.
