Hornets' Nicolas Batum: Downgraded to doubtful

Batum (eye) is now considered doubtful for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Initially listed as questionable with the eye abrasion, Batum is now trending in the wrong direction as Saturday's tip approaches. At this point, it appears the Hornets are prepared to be without the versatile wing, and coach Steve Clifford indicated that Jeremy Lamb would start in Batum's place if he's ultimately unable to go.
