Heat's Wayne Ellington: Ruled out for Friday

Ellington (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

The 28-year-old has yet to take the floor this season and he's due to miss yet another game Friday. There's a chance that he'll be able to make his debut Saturday given his recent participation in shootarounds, but it's unlikely that there will be any firm confirmation his status until much closer to tip-off. In any case, Miami will be thin on the wing Friday given that Dion Waiters is dealing with a groin strain and Justise Winslow is sidelined with a wrist injury.
