Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Knee issue not considered serious

Coach Alvin Gentry suggested after Wednesday's tilt that he doesn't believe Cunnigham's knee injury will cost him much time and indicated the team's depth in the frontcourt aided his decision to sit him the remainder of the game, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Cunningham exited the contest after playing just 12 minutes, but the issue doesn't appear to be a serious one. His next chance to return to the lineup comes Friday when the team travels to Portland. If he can't go, Solomon Hill and Buddy Hield (recently had his minutes reduced) could see some added minutes in his stead.
