Pelicans' Anthony Davis: Will play Wednesday

Davis (knee) will start at power forward Wednesday against the Timberwolves, Justin Verrier of ESPN.comreports.

Analysis:

Davis was removed in the first quarter of Tuesday's blowout victory over the Hawks with a knee injury after diving into the crowd for a loose ball, but he was ultimately cleared to return to the contest for the start of the fourth quarter and didn't appear to show an ill effects of the injury. The Pelicans had listed him probable heading into the second half of the back-to-back set, and with Davis now officially cleared to play, don't expect him to face any restrictions.
