Hawks to rest Korver Wednesday

Kyle Korver will sit out Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers for rest purposes, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

Though coach Mike Budenholzer limited the workloads of most of his starters in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Pelicans, Korver was the lone exception, as the veteran saw 29 minutes, which was slightly above his season average. Korver didn't end up succumbing to any injuries in the 14-point outing, but given that he also played 37 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Knicks and is getting up there in age at 35 years old, coach Mike Budenholzer will give the sharpshooter the second half of the back-to-back off in what amounts to a maintenance day. Thabo Sefolosha is slated to enter the starting five in his stead, but Korver should reclaim those duties in the Hawks' following game Friday against the Jazz.
